As Executive Director of Montessori del Mundo, I am proud to share our 2024-2025 Annual Report. Every day, I see what is possible when students are trusted as capable learners, families are treated as partners, and educators have the support they need to do their best work.
This year, we took an important step to protect and strengthen the future of MdM. Our school was founded on social justice and serving a community that has too often been overlooked. We want to ensure that this commitment endures long after any one group of leaders has moved on. To do that, we launched a 50-year strategic plan designed to institutionalize our values. Staff, board members, families, and community partners came together to define and clarify our purpose: fostering lifelong learners and multilingual agents of change who are prepared to make a difference locally, nationally, and globally.
From that work, we set four long-term goals that now guide our decisions:
- We are a central resource in the community.
- We are a school of choice for teachers and staff.
- We change the education system in our country.
- Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are manifest in our community.
These goals are ambitious by design. They reflect our belief that meaningful change in education and opportunity requires persistence, imagination, and time.
